Magnetic North is an athletic apparel company. In 2019, they launched their new series of products, compression tops and tights. We were asked to fully contribute to the products’ placement in the market in both packaging and copywriting terms. Since compression garments are used by athletes to achieve a higher standard of sports performance, we combined bold typography with technical product imagery to stand out from competitors – and avoid the use of photography – and to also provide a clear cut view of what customers will find inside when purchasing the product. As this was the first launch, we wanted the product name to stand out in order to create a longterm connection with clients. Additional shapes mark out the garments’ manufacturing technology and the subtle use of colours differentiates tops from tights.
