The basic idea was the typographic approach to the logo. We designed a typographic logo accompanied by 3 different symbols; a crab, a snake, a plane tree -each of which has its own historical significance for the island. Based on the triptych history, nature, culture we wanted to create an overall visual identity for Kos island. The basic logo can solely function, due its dynamic character and design simplicity but also in combination with the other creative add ons it provides multiple optical stimulation for the island.
