We were asked from METAdrasi NGO to build up an illustrated mathematical dictionary in 6 languages (Greek, English, Arabic, Turkish, Farsi and Urdu) to help volunteers and teachers working with refugees to easily communicate. Designing a dictionary is a challenging field mainly because of its universal use. Simplified illustrations were developed that helped readers visualize concepts and a monolinear geometric typeface was used for optimum legibility in texts.
