Type of client: Cultural Institution – Award Program
Type of work: Visual Identity
The GOOD DESIGN exhibition program began as a partnership between the Museum of Modern Art in New York City and the Merchandise Mart in Chicago in 1950 and is continued today by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design. For the 2018 awards’ campaign, we engaged with the research and the history collections of the Museum. Strong typographic elements, hierarchy and archival material denote the ongoing development of the award program since its very beginning till today. The numeric 1950 and 2018 prevail in all promotion materials whilst a further element inspection results in the forerunning of the 2019 edition. The series of communication materials developed for this project celebrated the centenary impact of the Bauhaus movement.
